So I have a 2001 outlaw lynx with a 175
motor has been changed out once this motor has aprox 400 hrs I just changed the reeds (old metal ones looked good no chips)
I did mix my fuel 100:1 for te first trip of the year
so I took the boat out and it ran perfect hit 5200 rpm with a 4 blade hi skew
Boat sat for a week then I went out again and it would only get 4900 rpm I only had a used set of plugs in the boat but changed them anyway still had the same problem
I checked throttle linkage, fuel filters etc
Boat starts perfectly and idle good
I'm going to put in new plugs and check again any other suggestions? |

Other than "What kind of fuel are you using", I can't think of anything else, but probably the more knowledgeable guys at OE can.
Sounds like a computer doesn't want to lift up to 5200 RPM. You are probably up for engine scan.... _________________ Wisdom chases me, but I´m faster |

Do a compression test while you're changing your plugs…
Where are you running the boat? Any chance the carbs froze? _________________ What was that noise? Glad wife didn't see the bill!! |

another thing to really check out is to make sure your reverse bucket is not closing when giving it throttle ,must be up all the way and tight |
