For those who have not heard the Upper Red Deer River is currently closed due to an oil spill.

In my travels yesterday, I stopped at the Garrington Bridge and talked to a couple of guys launching 2 air boats. They didn't think that the river was actually closed. The launches on the lake are closed. I did not see any sign of oil on anything on a few stops that I made from Garrington up stream. Hope all is good and the lake launches open up soon. The river is looking good.
