Ive had a few people draw my attention to the advertisements on Discovery Channel showcasing Mark Nye's Turbine powered 23 Eagle Sport.
Ive exchanged a few emails with Mark recently and he has also given me a heads up that he did some work with Discovery for inventions week which starts tonight. I can't seem to find any additional info about whats showing and when but there are some segments featuring mark and his boat.

For those who don't know Mark is a huge advocate for education and encouraging the younger generation to get interested in technology. Its quite admirable that Mark continues to boycott a certain trade show over their policy of not allowing kids to come, as Mark himself was drawn into technology and invention by attending shows with his father as a child.

Got this today....

Hi, I am sending this to friends and associates who I thought might be interested.

A producer and a camera crew from Discovery Channel’s Daily Planet came by the shop a couple weeks ago to video tape some material for Inventor Week. The show is airing all this week at 7 and 11 PM on Discovery Channel. (Channel 42 in Mississauga ) The episode with the Nye stuff is supposed to air this Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 7 and again at 11 PM. They were at the shop for most of the day and they shot four full tapes of turbine action, so it should make an interesting 5 minute piece.
