it is only about an hour and a half up from the highway bridge just outside tumbler ridge BC. good ride up. most of the year it is a clear sailing. Late September there are a few spots you have to pay attention as the river is wide and gets a little thin.

You can though go in early season all the way from Taylor BC to the falls it is about a 6 hour ride. Late in the year it gets bad in the middle section between the east pine bridge and tumbler. Lots of shale shelves. Can be done might just dinger up a little.
