Day 6 is done and it was a bit more than a hot one!

Cromie is still in the lead by some 8+ minutes and on the last circuit race of the day Whiteside had some issues in the backchannel and dropped back considerably, altho he did finish. Hearing rumours Cromie is swapping cylinder heads tonight and overheard Mark say they have consumed some $15 000+ worth of impellers already so its not over till the fat lady sings!

Crawford is on a backup engine so out of the hunt but had a small oil fire minutes before his heat and put on the trailer. Came around the corner into the staging area seconds to the start, fell off plane then imediatly launched in last spot to make the heat much to the crowds delight. In the 2.5 laps he came from the back of the pack to finish a respectable 2nd in a course that at times is very difficult to pass.

Mexican boat navigated by the forums "Wilson" blew a motor this am

The winged boat of Tim W was involved in a hairy incident which saw it run over the back end of a prerun boat on the bank. No injuries thankfully and minor damage to both boats.

Ill post some pics and we finally got the leader boards to see again this am so you can see where everyone stands.
