I doubt any high waters would play havoc with the worlds.
I'm camped on the Little Red Deer River. The waters are rising by the hour. The Upper Red Deer River is flowing big time.

With any luck the rivers will crest in the next few days and flush all the sticks and other crap out and by race time be reasonably clean.
only 22 more sleeps to wait.

The Mighty Peace is high and looks like the Smokey is giving it lots of trees today. The lower west peace boat launch was/is all muck as compared to last year.Hopefully this high water cleans it off for the race.

If the water stays this high at the worlds ther may be some issues launching boats. Budy lost his truck last weekend at the Bezanson,Smokey launch site.

The mighty Athabasca is flowing hard. If you want to view river levels and flows in Alberta log on to:
http://www3.gov.ab.ca/env/water/basins/BasinForm.cfm
click on Athabasca river basin then choose Athabasca River Near Windfall-figure. This gives a good indication on how fast the level is coming up.
Choose the Peace-Slave basin to check out the Peace, Wapiti and Smokie rivers.

Felix,
I am just waiting for my roll bar clamps from Outlaw. After I get them I will cut the mounting plate and send a kit down. All systems are 100% rigged, taped and ready to go. I had 15 systems on the table last nite watching the game.....Ott sure sucked.

The Peace has been dropping for the past two days but is still a bit high. The smokey has also been dropping slowly but is still a bit high. All the channels are open and even some new ones on the smokey! I haven't seen the rapids lately but I expect them to be pretty big. Can't wait for the worlds it will be amazing.

here is a couple of websites that I find really handy the first is a topo map site and if you leave it on the regular map turn on all the water features and zoom way in there is alot of info on water features boat ramps, rocks in the water rapids all that its a good site http://atlas.nrcan.gc.ca/site/english/maps/topo/map
and the next website shows the real time water flows of the river click I accept on the first page then go to Alberta and water flows or whatever and bobs your uncle!!! http://scitech.pyr.ec.gc.ca/waterweb/disclaimerB.asp

Saw some guys out on the Oldman river last week doing just that. Looked like they were having a pretty good time. I think some wobbly pops were involved.
