unsinkable, I am thinking u will need 500 hp for the speed u want. Lighten up the boat as much as possible, race nozzle will help and tweak tweak tweak.

Supercharging works great on a jet boat motor. The big thing is a centrifugal one works better that a positive style(roots). The engine does not need the low end torque and you only go into boost at higher rpms when the centrifugal ones work there best. Mine is 500 ci BBF with a Vortech (5psi) on it an it pulls a double A stainless aggressor at 5600/5700 rpm. It is kind of nice because at 40 mph in a large boat I am only turning 3200 with 10" of vacuum. Really I do not know of any downfalls but it takes a bit to set up.

Kia ora ,greetings from the land of braided rivers and lots of pushing Very Happy .A quick message to say looking forward to coming over for the worlds and all going to plan there will be a BBC with a couple of hair dryers on top at the start line on the 29th June Rolling Eyes . Enjoyed the company of a few guys in a little Irish bar in Wanaka during the 2005 worlds, this year I'll be on the best side of the bar!!! Very Happy
