Ravencrew,

Outstanding Vid. And thanks for the one you sent me. I'm secretly using it to study and tear apart the competition. Wink It's also fun to draw mustaches on the drivers. Smile

Thanks again

Kirt

P.S. Does anyone know how to get magic marker off my computer screen? Confused

I hope this comment will not come across in a negative way as it certainly is not my intent. However I have to say I think when sending a proposal of this magnitude to a large scale tv entity the video needs to be of the utmost in quality in both footage and editing.
I'm pretty sure you're only going to get one crack with any of the big boys to peak their interest and we , as a sport, need to really bring the A game to the table.
I'm not saying there is anything "wrong" with the video (there isn't) but there are alot of people out there with great footage who would all love to see this stuff go mainstream on TV etc. I'm quite certain they would be willing to contribute footage to the cause. I'm very firm in my belief no proposal DVD should be sent to anyone without helmet cam footage. We all know nothing grabs a viewer more than being in the boat.

I am offering this opinion as I am making a proposal DVD right now for my race program sponsors and am at the same crossroads. Do I put it out quick and just use what I have or wait and go through the hassles of getting it perfect, or as close to it as I can? Well the end goal is wanting sponsors so yea I'm going for the latter. I'm as aware of anyone of the difficulty getting additional footage from outside sources(trust me there), tracking down raw clips etc but its something I think we really need to do collectively for the better of the sport.
Again I hope this doesn't come across negatively and if I can help out in any way say the word

Cheers

Xero

Thanks Xero, I agree with you on the whole aspect of the video with on board footage. I have been trying to get on board footage like you say.
Unfortunately I couldn't get my hands on any. We also sent a letter with the video for some constructive criticism we will see what they say. Thank you for your input on the video. I appreciate everyones comments on the video with out criticism you can't better yourself . We'll be looking forward to their response.

Ravencrew that is an excellent " Highlight reel" of whitewater racing! A helmet or rollbar shot or two would be nice , but most of the time it would be looking at the sky anyways. That wing boat has to be as close to going over as it gets! Good thing his nozzle isn't an inch shorter. Is most of that on the Salmon? That makes for a good fix till spring, snowin here today.

Most of the video was from Idaho, Ryan Ringer doing his best nozzle wheelie was in Roseburg, Seth with his rollover was in Grants Pass Oregon at Galice Riffle. Jesse Laforest's almost blowover was in Riggins at the Hotel Hole. The tight corner shot of Scott Adams was in Hoopa California downriver from Tish Tang. I'll tell ya what it was one heck of a year for rollovers, almost blowouts just in Riggins, and carnage for some of the boats. Seth ended up sending his boat to the scrape heap after Grants Pass. I just hope I can get more great footage next year. It will be hard to top last year. Glad you liked it. Very Happy

I'm honored you thought that Vince made the video, Unfortunatley Missbhaven he did not make it. Had Vince made it it would be of a higher caliber. Thanks for the comment though.Greatly appreciated!!

Raven don't know for sure, but my guess is Vince is still working on videos while he's sleeping! As for you topping last years video's, although great for photo opps. I'll bet the race teams will be hoping for more favorable conditions than they had at the Riggins race!
