Would like some info on the Red deer river from Drumheller down to the mouth of the South Saskatchewan. Where to put in? easy to run? rocky. sandy? any info would be great. Going to a wedding there in Sept.
Thanks

I've never ran it but have worked around there quite a bit over the years. It gets real lazy at Drum. I had to throw a stick in the water just to see if it was flowing. So, you mix that with some of them big old boulders lurking just under the water surface and it makes for running a mine field. Get the wedding photos done before the river run. |

I have never ran it either and would have to agree with bald man it it a hard river to read although I do know a couple of guys that run it from the south sask and up and you really have to watch out for sand bars down there and if you get stuck in one you are in for some work
there is a tour company that runs a jet up from Medicine Hat to sandy point and then up the red deer I can't remember the name but maybe they could offer better info |
