Hey everyone, just givin a little report to those who aren't lucky enough to have made the race up here.
You may be wondering why I of all people am doing this well its cause Im lucky enough to be here myself!
Weather yesterday was awesome, not a cloud in the sky alho the wind was blowing(a plus or minus depending on who you talked to lol)
Spent the day upriver testing with the Outlaw/Eagle crew and got some pretty intense seat time in Dale Whitesides unlimited boat. The crew from O/E are a pretty friendly bunch indeed.
Boat show and shine was last nite and there was quite a decent turnout. there seems to be 4-5 unlimited boats with of course my personal fav being the appearance of the blue ovla king Spencer King. We haven't actually seen the boat yet, i think they are trying to psyche everyone out!
I won't try to list all the boats because I will miss some but last count I had was 21 .
Weather this morning looks the same as yesterday with not a cloud in the sky. We'll see what the wind does by race time which isn't till late morning/afternoon.
Today its the curcuit race in town then the run up the Smokey river Sunday.
Havin a blast altho I crashed a little early last nite, dang jetleg!
I came out to see the area and the race etc but I wasn't really aware I was gonna end up navigating an unlimited boat, its a wonder I could sleep at all!
Will try to update more details tonight.
Cheers

end of a long day of racing and more..
Im not the best to give updates of all the classes as its tough when you
're busy racing. I do know Jesse blew the rear of the pump off hittin a rock and half sank the boat consuming some video equipement(sorry Jesse/Vince!)
Spencer was walking away from us in Unlimited when he had some pump/bearing/motor troubles and pulled off. Also out of unlimited was Feeling Randy with some form of troubles so it was just us tryin to chase down Terry and having no luck with way too much wedge. Boat was a bit(alot) flighty but not to the point of scaring me(altho Im not sure what that would take really)we saw a 114 at one stage but breifly indeed. Feels alot different than jumping logs and dodging fisherman!
Dale Ford is in first in SBFX, Thunderstruck is taking SJ. Patty Stratton dropped a valve. Im not too sure what else happened but then again its 2 am and I've had a few(?) BEvERages. Off to find more beers with the boys from Outlaw/E....
Cheers
p.s. Baldy warm up that boat we're heading out this week!

Awesome Race Weekend, on Behalf of the Peace River Boating Association, I would like to thank all the participants, spectators, sponsors and numerous volunteers who helped make this event possible. Some trophies were handed out, along with $ 10 000.00 prize money and a $ 8500 Calcutta.
The weather co-operated ( a little windy ) and the boats where hot.
Will see you all in Whitecourt.
Felix Bergeron
President of PRBA

Thanks Felix for putting on a great race again this year. Looks like Vince will have some footage from our boat(MissBHaven) and you can actually see the rock just before we hit it. We found the rest of the pump in the river after the race. Jesse and I have had a long talk to that Carma chick told her she was bad so no more bad Carma for us or else she gets it. .

The Nervous Wreck race team, part of the Lyons racing team would like to also say thanks to the PRBA for a great race, a good time was had by all, the weather gods were smiling! A special thanks goes out to the fans and support boat crews, these races aren't possible without all of you.
Allblowedup, I met that bad carma chick, she was ugly and had a lisp, leave her at home next time, take her good sister to Whitecourt!!
