YAHOO premium just hit $2.09 a ltr. Let's see now, 2.09 X 4.54 X 7.5 to 12 gallons per hour makes for an average of about $100.00 an hour to turn thr key on. Sure glad I'm retired. |

I’m not sure that one can buy ethanol free fuel anywhere. Boat fuel should be available at a reduced price for boat owners as there would be no road tax.
Years ago you could buy cheaper fuel in BC. Near the coast at least.
I believe that most fuel has at least 10% ethanol. Fuel conditioner doesn’t eliminate the problem. Ethanol attracts water. If the boat is not used often, the water from humidity accumulates. There used to be a website called purefuel that listed gas stations that sold ethanol free fuels. It’s my understanding that it is no longer available.
Anyone have information to the contrary?
I used to buy premium only for the boat and all my small engines around the acreage. Not sure if anyone has made an ethanol removal process. |

Solved the problem, could not sell my boat, price reduced to 28500. So I stripped it out, sold the power for 11g, sold the pump for 11g. Built a pod out the back and hung a 115 Suzuki on it. Left the 110ltr under floor tank, made the mistake of filling it last spring. One long day of water sports with the grandkids, 6 long days fishing including a 40 mile run down Ottsa. And now I have to figure what to do with the 35ltrs I just pumped out.
The boat is huge inside without the motor and fuel tanks. And with the power behind the full transom you can talk at a normal volume when cruising.
Yes I will build another pump boat. I have a 2.3 turbo diesel that I will put an AT309 behind. That in another 14ft like my other one I sold with the v6 772 combo. I will post photos on the build. |
