I am wondering if anyone can diagnose an ECU unit for a 2004 240 sportjet? I'd hate to put out the cash for a new one not knowing for sure if its the root cause of the issues I'm having.

Jeff. Sent my 240 Motorola ECU to a place called Marine ECU repair in Colorado.
(service@marineecurepair.com) . They diagnose and repair. Sent it last week should be back tomorrow or next. Mine was dropping 1 and 2 cylinder. They found some loose connections and repaired it. 300 US. I will let you know how it works. Turnaround time was three days. Phone number is 720 538 6184. I found the best way to talk to them is via Email.
