|
Although not definite yet, Proposed date for the 2006 Jet Boat World Championship is October 28th-November 4th.
There is no talk of pushing the race forward to September, as I had mentioned before. So you can make plans for Late October/November.
Course to be determined, but It will be around 500 miles.
As soon as this is determined, I will advise _________________ Wisdom chases me, but I´m faster |

The worlds will be held at the Balsas River.
Definite route is not defined yet. There is talk of making one extra leg upstream from Caracol Dam. But my guess is that it will be the same route as last year. _________________ Wisdom chases me, but I´m faster |

hey wilson, how far is the balsas from valle de bravo? i cant find any good maps but it seems like it may be close? i am planning my vacation and would really like to see the worlds but my new addiction forces me to only visit places where i can paraglide. valle de bravo is a world class flying destination. |

G-Force:
The road that goes from Mexico City to Ciudad Altamirano, which is the most likely starting point of the Balsas river race is the same road people use to go to Valle de Bravo.
Distance from Mexico City to Valle de Bravo is about 200Km (3 1/2 hours drive) From Valle de Bravo to Altamirano the distance is another 180 Km (3 hours driving time).
So, flying in Valle de Bravo and seeing the race at the worlds can definitely be done in the same trip.
Be warned that roads in Mexico are not as good as roads in the U.S. or Canada.
I can e-mail a more or less decent map, if you wish. _________________ Wisdom chases me, but I´m faster |
