Gentlemen,
Testing in my boat found that turning left produced what seemed to be a load down of the engine, as in the revs would drop 200 rpm. turning right though brings my revs up. Is there some thing going on with the way the water is traveling through my pump making it flow easier in one direction than the other? Would a straightening type of vane help out? Would it be reversed if I were in Australia? _________________ It was like that when I got there! |

sure your throttle cable is not hung up on something? 200rpm is quite a chunk of hp? |

we see the same thing. I am not sure but it can have something to do with the rotation of the engine and the angle that the water is forced through the grate when you turn. Also we find that turning right is a little tougher than left is that something that you find also? Is it a tunnel or step tech. |

Allblowdup,
It is a step tech, the steering is a little stiff anyway, so I can't really tell if it is easier one way or the other. You guys ever try one of the straightening vane systems that the fella from whitecourt was making? I saw it on a web post a year or so ago, it was an 8 bladed unit made to stop the last bit or rotation, I wonder if it would work for that application? _________________ It was like that when I got there! |
