Hey. I have a merc 5.7 that has raw water cooling and I wanted to change system to closed loop cooling. I have purchased a kodiak heat exchanger and wanted to install on this 5.7. I was told that the heat exchanger will not work for carburated engines. So my question is, is there a difference between heat exchangers for carbed engines, versus fuel injected engines? And that the exhaust manifolds used won't work for closed loop cooling systems.
