Went up the 20 mile again yesterday, couple more inches of water up the glacier fork. Ran the Knik today from the highway to the glacier, about 25 to 30 miles each way, I agree with Baldman, a dependable boat is a must out here, most of the time we go with just one boat, not uncommon to get over 50 miles from the nearest road or to get to places most others wouldn't think about going. Here are some pics of today's trip. Enjoy, Rob

Man, that is some unreal scenery. I gotta get a skinny water boat and hook up with you some day. Shocked

Any fish in those waters Question

I will try to dig up some more pics, maybe shoot some video. I really need to get a helmet cam... 3 weeks ago. The second shot in the first series or the last series?

the last series i.e that rapid you'r shootin.
Be sure to contact Vince from NWT xtreme if you are in the market for a helmet cam, he's the man with the expereince as to whats good and what works. I used his stuff at the Salmon race and its good to know a lil before you take the plunge. Well worth it tho as you often miss some wild scenery cause you're paying too much attention to driving. I'd personally be able to watch you boat in those backdrops for hours.
Awesome pics, keep up the good work!

Cheers

(Even a small camcorder mounted will work if you build enough isolation into the bracket that holds it. I can show you mine if you're interested, of course having a roll bad helps)

great shots, how many guys you boat with? Doesn't look like the type of country to be out with only one boat in thats for sure. Whats the orange boat? looks huge

Cheers

The red boat is my 16' Eagle, the orange boat and the black boat are 24-26 foot Edge marine/ Glacier jet boats with twin 200 sportjets. They feel huge after driving the Eagle Sport. They run tours up the 20 mile, where most of those pics were taken, with them. I drive for the from time to time. Most of the time I run alone, just bring plenty of recovery gear and enough food for a few days. Still waiting for more skinny water fast boats to show up in my neighborhood. I let a few people here drive my eagle, expect a few more of them to be showing up here soon, they are kinda addictive.
