|
|
Just picked up a nahanni has a supercharged 383 in it and it loves the fuel took it out for a rip tonight with my Reader plugged in and this is what I Got
3200 28mph 40 liters hour
3400 30mph 50 liters hour
3600 34mph 54 liters hour Max rpm is 4200 309 pump I not sure of hp rating of engine but I am going to guess a a3 ? Will check on impeller tomorrow I figured it would burn more fuel but this is just a little
Less then my 240 sport jet was. If I go to a Aa I should be loading up engine less have a little higher max rpm and burn less
Too? |

Just did a test and I was loaded pretty decent. Ran 3200-3300 for an hour and 25 minutes on a 351 ford at 50 litres on the money. |

20 ft Clement, 351 stroked to 408, berkely / a2 ss ,
roughly 2000 lbs of gas, gear and people in the boat,
3400 rpm / 35 mph on gps upstream on the Kichika,
15 cdn gal, 1.5 hours or 45 liters per hour,or 10 gal per hour

No I never ran an A2 with the LSA. Would be to much rpm i think. I could spin the a3 to roughly 4900 rpm. Was actually going to try a 9.5 but have since sold the boat. |

LSA from KEM I think is at about 530 hp. 9.25 impeller was roughly 4900 rpm in my boat |

I was thinking that a a2 would have a higher speed at a lower rpm so lower fuel burn? I realize that a a3 impeller stops the pump from spinning out when starting off or hammering down and a a2 would spin higher so burn more fuel when hammer down ? Is this how I should look at it? Thank you |
