How does the LSA respond to the lightning headers? bolt on upgrade or is any computer tuning necessary?

The LSA respond's good to the Lightning headers ,and are a nice bolt on with no extra tuning necessary.

So if you don't need to do any tuning, where does the extra performance come from ? Are the existing parameters so wide that you can gain that much within them ?

????!!!! any more info available regarding these headers installed on an LSA regarding the tuning and so forth etc?
Also what model number K and N filter do you have on this current build? Both look like something I need for my LSA lol.

Sorry for the late reply fellas on this.
There is no tuning required when installing lightning headers on a LSA.
We have done Dyno tests on a LSA with different set-up components.
The Headers were a significant gain. Approx 15 hp. The K&N instead of a spark arrestor was a improvement as well.
The Kodiak LSA has a closed cooling loop through the lower exhaust manifolds. So when installing the Lightnings on a Kodiak there is some coolant hoses to divert and block off.
The Marine power LSA runs a open river water system in their exhaust so the install is easier.
One thing to remeber before deciding on a set of headers is the angle of the riser is less at the 4" exit than Cast aluminum manifolds. So sometimes you need to make elbows or Knotch the top underside lip of the transom to get the exhaust piping down to your existing thru hull.

Thanks very much for the reply. I currently run a KEM LSA and was thinking of getting some installed. Would there be any fitment issues in a E6 21 ft Sabre open bow?

If your saber has a cross flow muffler it may need some mods.
But if it has straight thru hulls there should be no problem
