How many people leave the anchor at home when they are out exploring.
lugging one in a smaller boat seems to be a pain sometimes |

Yah its more of a west coast thing, go salmon fishing and you see them on everyones boat for obvious reasons.
I always remove mine when im not on the coast fishing. But its does come in handy at times. More worried that if someone slips getting on the bow that they might land on it and get injured. |

Yup, they have a lot of uses but was hunting on the Omineca river a few years back, jumped off the bow onto the river bank, turned out to be a half inch of mud on top of ice. Next thing I know my feet are out from under me and I just about had one of the anchor tines through my neck and we were 200k from anywhere. My anchor now lives in a tote when it comes with us |
