Hey I have never been camping on or near the Murray river and am planning on going there for the long weekend in may and was wondering where to camp also how far it is up river to the falls and what is the river conditions like at that time of year? _________________ "Thinking is no longer just an option!" |

tons to to much water in May, could take a prop boat up to the falls from the highway bridge near tumbler. it is approx an hour and 15-20 minutes . Camping = very limited places especially when the water is high. |

yeah there is a great campsite about a 1/4 of a mile from the boatlaunch. The name of it is Flatbed Creek Campground. It is run by the community and the lions club. Should be open then. It has hot showers, firewood included, lots for kids to do. |
