Finally winterized the boat as it looks like winter may be here. I should really pull my engine to swap out my plugs and wondering if I should just leave the engine it in the shop for the winter. Wish I had a warm shop big enough for the boat but not yet.
Any downside to this
Also been reading up on reeds and it sounds like some of the later model 200's sj (2011+) had different reeds then previous models (5petal composite instead of 4 stainless) while I haven't had a look at mine yet (2013) curious if the stock reeds are of concern still.

No downside leaving your SJ power head in the shop stored on a pallet upright with plastic wrap. As for the 200 SJ reeds the older models have 175SJ reed blocks instead of the newer style 200 reed blocks. All stock reeds are stainless not composite like the 240's had. You should be looking at reed replacement once you have reached the 200 to 300 hrs on the power head.
These reeds had 260hrs on them as you can see there is major damage and 2 are missing completely. It's amazing the power head was still running with a hard starting issue.
