I know some guys have the teleflex system. Most have dual system on the race boats. And some have the new sss engineering one. The teleflex is a affordable easy to put in setup. Berkely sells the full kit. I'm not sure on the price of the sss set up |

the text that is coming out in the 2015 rule book will be:
It is recommended that the steering cables must be made of flexible stainless steel wire with a minimum diameter of 4.7 mm (3/16”). It is also recommended that the cable run from the steering wheel to the back, in a manner to avoid hitting the race crew if they are pulled to the back in an impact. If the steering cables are directly attached to the nozzle of the jet, the cables should run through the middle of the hull.
Some of the older boats had a system that ran through pulleys at the pump and out throught the transom to the steering nozzel. When the nozzel bowl assembaly was knocked off it would pull the cables back out of the boat across the crew. All it is saying is that this type of system and mounting sould not be used.
i would say you want daul rack system at the least. you can run them out to the nozzel or use a bell crank to run through the transom. twin cable and pulley systems also work well with a bell crank, but are alot of work to get set up right and to keep tight.
