There is one in Fort Nelson (if the guy still lives here). They build mostly big water boats but I know he really wants to try and do a shallow water one. The one issue I got caught up on was he wanted to do a center steer sit down style where I normally have my head out the window looking for lines/shallow ground.
What are you looking at from them? _________________ 2014 18' Ali-Craft LSA/212 |

I've talked to a few guys that have paid up front and are still waiting on there boats...months and months overdue, without any build pictures and there phone calls don't get returned. Is it like that for everyone that buys a boat from BWC? |

I couldn't answer that. Your best bet would be to ask that question on Meachchicken. Quite a few guys have their boats on that site. _________________ 2014 18' Ali-Craft LSA/212 |

That question was asked on Meanchicken, and seeing how BWC is a forum sponsor, the posts were deleted. And PM warnings were sent out to other members that had commented on that thread regarding BWC. So who knows? |

If that's the case, I think you are best to steer clear of them. Anything that sounds shady probably is. |

Be cautious of what you read on the internet forums...some of the guys on there don't even have a boat.
That being said having a custom boat built is like getting a house built ;you should have a written contact with completion dates and specific penalties if certain targets are not met.
I have dealt with BWC myself and have had no problems.
Be aware that if you get a custom boat built in another country and you are 30 hours driving time away dealer support may not be what you expect.
And considering we have at least five high quality custom builders in Canada that build boats suitable for our waters I am not sure why you would even consider custom building outside of Canada. |

Chris talks a hell of a sales pitch but I didn't go with them for the simple reason of out of country. What if there was problems, how do you deal with it?
We are very fortunate to have some excellent builders in Canada. _________________ 2014 18' Ali-Craft LSA/212 |
