Hi, Does anyone have any pics of their sport jet reverse bucket mods? I know there are better than stock (ex welding, wooldriidge) buckets out there, but I would like to try and modify this one first. Even a diagram or any measurements would be helpful.

Thanks

For a stock bucket the best mod is not on the bucket, it's on the boat itself. Putting plate on either side of the pump that channels the water down and under the boat works extremely well. I'll get a pic of my buddies boat and post it. I know Firefish,Risley and Wolfmade boats come with them.

I See. The picture is not all that clear. I put some extensions on my bucket, now I can pull myself off the trailer, and the brakes are good. As far as backing up, it works at low rpm. If you give it too much throttle, it will cause to much bubbles under the boat and cause cavitation....I think that is what is happening.

Here is what I got. Just make sure the top angle is down just enough to direct the flow under the boat and not into the transom or the extensions.

You might want to close off the bottom a bit more in order to direct the flow forward more and not so much downward. These are pics of the beginning of the mods. I was not sure, at the time, of how much of an opening I should leave.

Yup, it looks like it should work better. That will be the next thing for me to do.
