Grand Rapids Wilderness Adventures is looking for 1 or 2 physically fit, hard working, and maintenance qualified retirees or otherwise to assist us in some spring projects at our lodge. Applicants must have a good knowledge of woodworking, finishing, and some plumbing experience, for some basic renovations, painting and construction. This will not be a paid position. In return for the said work, (minimum of 4 to 6 hrs. per day and for a minimum of 8 to 10 days) GRWA will provide all meals and private log cabin accommodations for two people, jet-boat transportation from Athabasca to our lodge and return, evening fishing trips, historical tours, a guided hike to the Grand Rapids and much more. All tools and materials will be supplied. The scope of the work involved should easily be accomplished in about 4-6 days, which will leave the rest of your time for fun and relaxation. (depending on how hard you want to work) Our typical 4 day 3 night wilderness adventure trips with all the bells and whistles as mentioned above has a value of $1100.00 per person plus GST. Successful applicants that wish to provide their own jet boat transportation to and from the lodge will have enough fuel provided for their trip back to Poachers Landing.
Please forward us an e-mail if interested to grwadventures@gmail.com. Please state in the letter any qualifications you may have that will help us complete these light projects. This would be a great working vacation for a couple or a couple buddies that would like to get away from it all and partake in this remote and exciting wilderness adventure on the Athabasca River that few people get to experience.
We will be departing from Poachers Landing (45 minutes north east of the Town of Athabasca) on May 30th and returning on or around June 8th.
Please visit our web pages at www.athabasca-river.com or www.facebook.com/athabasca.river for more info. on our operation.
Thanks For your interest Darcy & Shirley Zelman (owners) _________________ Grand Rapids Wilderness Adventures
