Well I just bought a 2013 boat with a 2013 Sportjet. A nice little 18' starter jet boat. I'm very pleasantly surprised on how little fuel this thing burns. Also, no smoke, no smell.
It stays on step at 3300rpm and burns only 4.1gph (on a lake).
On the down side, once the RPM is up over 5500 it is a major pig, burning up 17gph. Top speed in 1' chop is 73.5 km/h on GPS.
It's a light boat with no teflon. 1600lb hull. 66" x .19 bottom. 12 degree.

When I have time. I'm going to do up a chart with RMP/Speed/GPH and will post it on here. Dealer said it should burn less fuel after 50 engine hours. We'll see about that.

Just wait unit you load it up with some extra weight. Smile A buddy of mine his 18ft 6ft bottom full UHMW with a 240 will burn 27 gph running over 5000 rpms. Shocked
