Hello my old bobcat had a esbar heater and worked great. New boat is a 20 nahanni and trying to decide on what to put in a esbar or a webasco heater and what size to use. The airtronic 2000 or the 3500 thanks for your info

This would depend on the intended use. Are you wanting to take the chill off in the evenings or in the fall? Or do you plan on late fall hunting trips where you plan to sleep on the boat? I did a ton of research on them when I bought mine. I ended up just going with the Espar 2 as its great for cool summer evenings and fall days. The Espar 4 is larger and puts out a TON of heat, if you ran it with the full top up and cranked up the t-stat, it will make you sweat! I find the #2 to be more than sufficient.

Also you will need to have a look at where you plan on running ducting, as the Espar 4 has much larger ducting hoses etc. I would have had issues running them to where I need them to be. This will depend on your boat.

The Webasto units are damn near identical, and some parts/pieces are interchangeable. I found that Espar parts were a bit easier to find if ever needed. There is a great dealer in Vancouver that sells kits, parts, accessories, etc.

I have the Espar D2 in a 20 ft Muskwa. Third season & still works great. No problems camping late October at -12C.
I was told that the larger D4 can have carbon problems in a smaller boat, as it cycles on off to much.
