SS impellor will pull harder but not 400 rpm, 200 maybe a bit more. |

I've heard of some guys lossing 400-500 RPM depending on the HP factor of the engine. Does your 351 Redline have 285 hp or is it the smaller HP engine? Personally I wouldn't worry too much. Everything else sounds good as far as specs go. _________________ There's no replacement for displacement!!!!! |

I just sold a boat with a 350 marine power engine that I think was rated at 300 hp or 280 hp, it spun a brand new Aluminum AA at 3800, according to my calculations you revs are where they should be, I think your last Impellor was cut down to an AB. It would take Apx 410 hp to spin an AA at 4200 rpm. My 421 sbc AMS motor that was 450 hp and 490 tq spun an Aluminum AA at 4500 rpm. |
