I was out with Trevor on the river Monday night. Yes it is an AMS engine. It is a 588 BB with 9.5:1 compression and runs pump gas!! 92.6mph soo far! Pretty awesome for a V-bottom. a little more tweeking and we should see 95-96mph

Its a all aluminum 588 with 9.7:1 comp. It pulled 745 ftlbs at 5200rpm and made 809 hp at 6000rpm. The torque curve betweet 4500 and 5500rpm was within 25ftlbs of peak. It was everthing Louis promised and runs strong. This is my second motor by Ams and the service they provide before and after the build has been nothing but exceptional.

Sweet engine, I'm scared to ask what it cost ? I had Loui build me a 421 sbc way back in 2000 for my 19ft step tech sport, it was a low compresion also at 9.5:1, the motor ran flawlessly for me and is still running today for the guy that bought the bought 2 years ago. There's something to say about keeping the compression down and reliability ! Just in case you get a bad tank of premium, you don't loose your motor to DET. Keep us posted if you get it into the high 90's.
