So i bought a 20ft step-tec with custom built 383 around 450hp. it only has a 1.5inch x 6in spark arrestor on it. would it be a noticeable gain to switch to something like a 3in by 14in k&n? I have plenty of clearance but dont really want to spend the cash if its not going to make any difference on the tach. tell me your thoughts, thanks |

A air filter will not meet marine spec's like a spark arrestor unless it has a fine wire mesh covering the outter side if it. Just buy a big block spark arrestor it's quiet abit larger then the small block arrestor allowing more air flow. |

Yes it will be marine certified if it's a K&N flame arrestor not a K&N air filter. |
