WHAT ARE THE RIVER CONDITIONS LIKE THROUGH WHITECOURT? I HAVE HEARD A FEW RUMORS ABOUT THE GOLFCOURSE OR SOMETHING FLOODING. ANY WORRIES FOR THE RIVERBOAT PARK AND CAMPGROUND?

Athabasca is flowing over 1300 m3/sec or old school thats 46,000 cubic ft. per second. Highest Ive ever seen it.... but I'm not as old in the tooth as Crawford. McLeod is flowing at over 1000 m3/s as well. Normal is 1/3 those numbers.
The park will be ok, getting more damage to the grass areas from all the vehicle traffic gawkers than the river is doing.

Level will drop quick once the rain stops, but caution to anyone pre-running in the next week. Lots of sticks and debris in the water.

Couple pics attached.

Hope to get out with the sport jet to do some dirty boating in the next few days. "Going where no man has gone before"

God Damn thats a lot of water! Around Red Deer our rivers are pumping hard too. I was out by the clearwater southwest of town this weekend, the river is almost dangerous to run, Its up about 8' past normal, logs everywhere and huge rapids. The Upper Red Deer is the same.

still lots of snow to melt yet too, this could be a problem. Will the rollbars fit under the bridge ?

Ya lots of water left in the mountains, but this should drop a bit before the hits. And now that the rain has stopped, the parking lot should soak that in.

FELIX....where's some pics and testing stories?

Talked to public works, they are doing what they can to preserve the launch. Very Happy

Anybody know what kind of condition the campground is in? I'm guessing it may be flooded....at least the part closest to the river.
