Most figure it is not to be used in a marine application?
I am not sure but i think its due to water being sucked into the engine because of cam?

Around $6-6500k....phone Louie at AMS.....he'll tell you why it DOES NOT MATTER if you have a non-marinezed motor in you're boat! Best money I ever spent!

We just had a customer upgrade from a 383 kodiak to an LS3. The engine is a 2005, owned by an older fella, weel maintained, 50 hours on it. It was in a 20 Clearwater so it was never run hard.
Fuel injected, fully marinized with closed cooling system and oil cooler.
$5800.00. Give Outlaw a call if interested.

I like the idea of the zz383 and will call ams, just to make sure is ams in alberta?
what HP does the engine that Outlaw has?
Will this engine bolt right up where my kodiak 350 is with out too much headache?

being fuel injected and my engine is carbed how much foolin around would it take to use or rewire the 383 engine to work in my boat?

AMS is in the city and Louie is great to deal with.....(780-454-4411) He saved me some coin on mine and knows everything there is to know about engines. The mill is 425hp and comes with aluminum heads. I put my Performer RPM intake on and carb and the thing has never skipped a beat. I think the marinized one is less HP, but has everything you need to drop in. If you have a small block in place already I strongly suggest you look into the zz383 as it would swap over real nice and you would gain a bunch of power....

The KOdiak 383 is 360 HP. It will bolt up up plug in with ease.

AMS is not the only engine builder in the city make sure you shop around not every body has had good luck with ams . Call Eagle they fixed the anchor I bought from ams and it would have been cheaper to buy a brandnew engine to start with .

buy the new zz 383 crate motor best bang for your buck 2 of my friends have them in there boats for the past 3 seasons they have ran perfectly

zz383.....can a guy just get a long block zz383 and use the parts off a kodiak 350?
