With the drowning of a r.c.m.p member last summer in the community of pelly, i see the need for better boats and training .i hope the r.c.m.p will not be a bunch of a holes and cut some slack to those people out enjoying the rivers and lakes.

We have seen the RCMP put resources into areas like this before ie. quads, snowmobiles etc. It always seems to end up falling apart as quickly as it comes together as the logistics of staffing these projects are overwhelming. The training and safety programs are extensive and they will require at least 4 members for each boat. I don't think these boats will see alot more use than the one that has been sitting in the compound at the Whitecourt detachment for several years! Still, it is a good opportunity to get our act together to ensure the viability of our favorite hobby.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I read this post to mean that "You Drink and Drive Responsibly" Not saying that I'm inoccent of that ever but ........ I don't think those words belong in the same sentence. Maybe its my job, maybe its my kids, or maybe its all the people I know that are dead because they didn't see anything wrong with drinking and driving, but if your confident enough to believe that its not wrong then there is a problem.

lets all remember!!!.. drinking and driving is ILLEGAL! any motorized vehiculer devise! weather its yur lawnmower or yur jet boat, im no angel and we can all atesset to that, the fine members of the law enforsment community took an oath to uphold the law.to protect, and help the citizens of our communities. ya i know!!!! there are some cops that are total priks!!!! but up here in the great white north,iv seen some good deads done by the boys in blue,and im one that has been helped by them,, but,,, we'll see this summer, if the resourses that they have aquired buy the fine workmanship of eagle, is an assat to the law or just another tool the run this country in a police state!

Hear hear!! I agree. Thank god its not the local sherrifs that will be running these boats. Watersports as we know it would be finished!

please remember!!! up here in the north,, things are done different,, the vastnest, the amount of peeps are far and few between,, the distance is soo broad, to get from one place to another,, is far and b etween,,we have a plane that flys directly from GERMAMNY,,,, guess ,, what,,,, lotsa,400 more peps floatin down the river,,,my back yard,, sharin with eurpins,, dont get me wrong,, i welcome all to my space,,, but dont tell me what too doo wit my yard, space !

Where did I say anything about drinking and driving? I said drinking and floating. I go up stream, float down, have a couple ice cold BEERS and when I get close to the boat launch I paddle the boat over to shore, tie up the boat, wait until all the alcohol has left my body then load up the boat and go home. Very Happy

We do that sledding too....except we take turn's drinking beer and towing each others machines around. Total pain in the ass, but worth it if you like beer.

Top dawg, glad you like our video !! we did this a few years back for a movie called "far cry". An old boat with a three stage and stick steering. And a canadian tire innertube to cushion the impact ! There was a few weeks of jetboat stunts. This one is 10 minutes from my playground !

The worst rule anyone ever told me is that there is a speed limit if you are within 30 feet of the shore. This would make most fun rivers... well unfun !
