I have one on my 20 ft Clearwater, In my opinion it is a must! I use mine as a family boat and do alot of fishing and it is the only way to go, the 9.9 works awesome. hope that helps |

we have one one its a honda 9.9 on a 18' bobcat works good but the extra weight on the back is noticable when on the rivers so we always take it on and off now one thing we positioned ours of to the side to offset the fuel tank on the other side we have a short shaft on the kicker and it just clears the bottom of the hull which you need for good propulsion i believe , a freind had his kicker on and it didnt clear the bottom and it was almost usless except on the calmest of days (he needed the long shaft ) also it was a bigger boat so maybe he needed to go up a size to ? i do think it was mostly do to the short shaft though |
