2nd year hunting...I'm only in it for the jerky! Filled my buck and supplemental tags this year.

Nothin wrong with either one of those. We don't horn hunt, it's just a bonus when we run into a nice one. I shot this guy a couple of years ago in Whitecourt.

I'd be pretty damn happy with something like that. Buddy told me to get pickier every year. Scared of being too picky and end up hanging my tag on the Christmas tree!

I know what you mean. You get too picky, and all of a sudden it's the end of the season and you get desparate. Working in the oil patch doesn't give me the luxury of being too fussy. Don't know when I will get called. This is the first whitetail I've shot in 5 years. Mulies are a dime a dozen down here. It's pretty easy to bag a 170.
