hahaha i knew you'd know jesse! was he the guy that ran it in the 2000 worlds in the usa? went through like 5 motors or something to keep going! now thats dedication or divorce hahaha

Wayne built and raced that boat in the 96 worlds, quit right after that, his wife, whose name I cannot remember was a great supporter of boat racing. It had a unique double cowling, an F-16 kind of cowl in front of each crewdog.
Chuck Laird bought the hull, had the cowling modified like you see it now and painted like you see it and raced it in the 2000 worlds. As you say, they went through a bunch of motors, five sounds about right, but kept on racing. The last motor was one of the Chandlers I think. I even got in the act and loaned him my #1 impeller.
I could go on and on but looks like I went on enough! Good catch Will remembering that!
Chuck is still married too, but that was about the last time he raced.
