Many years ago me and a buddy were running very low on fuel in a 1998 Chev Z71 with a 5.7L. It was three in the morning and all we had was diesel in the sliptannk. We threw in a 1/4 tank and drove for another hour until we found camp.

Truck ran descent, knocked a little when you stood on it. Truck even fired up at 20 below the next morning. Never did drain the fuel just topped her up and went to work.

Hello again:
I have seen diesel in cars limp along without much issues, however a jet boat engine is under considerably more load and will put a lot more stress on the rings running in a continual detonation condition for any length of time. It took the pistons out of the sleds that ran it.

If your looking to screw over gas theives.in summer ..simply leave out jerry cans of 50/50 gas water mix. ..Had some pricks stealing gas outta my shed and put 2 cans of mix in there. that was the last night I had gas ripped ..

I love thieves ... Evil or Very Mad

Had someone ripping shit outta my shed over a few nights so went and bought eight small cheap pullies and some 1/16th" cable. Drilled a hole in each door face and attached the cable with closed looped lag bolts - one cable through each pulley on front then down the side half way – down to the floor and across to the opposing side – through a rear tire of the other bikes and back to the wall .- then back up to the roof and ran to the end through another pulley then down to 5 gallon buckets with water in them. Attached a trigger to one of the kids bikes. On the inside edge of the doors I put cut off hockey sticks that would fall into place to lock the doors when the doors slammed shut. Put a motion sensor set on minimal time behind the bike with floodlights behind the bike ..There were two full paint cans on either side of the shed with the cables running to the opposing side.. It was set up so when the kid grabbed the bike - it released the trigger , let the 5 gallon pails fall slamming the tin doors shut while pulling the 2 other bikes in sideways to block his escape path while the cans of paint swung across the center to add to the entanglement- the sticks fell in the lower track basically locking the doors. ..the lights came on and blinded him then went off a few seconds later the whole thing cost me about 50 bucks at princess auto. ..2 or 3 nights later we heard a hell of a racket and a bunch of banging then screaming - the wife called the cops while I waited in front of the shed. When we opened the shed the kid was tangled up in the bikes and wrapped up in the paint can cables ..he was stuck.. wrecked his knee pretty good , They were pretty impressed with my rig in. but told me i could be charged for it - but they didn’t The kid had pissed himself just to add insult to injury when they hauled him off to the hospital and then to jail. I still have shit booby trapped around here. Half the fun is figuring out how to rig it in ..the down side is waiting for someone to try to steal shit here...

im tellin all y'all 5ltr glycol or straight engine antifreeze whatever u wanna call it will cause more havock than anything mentioned above. and its undetectable unless u can take a sample from the bottom of the j can. on diesels glycol will ruin each and every single injector on contact. gas engine requires a total fuel sys cleaning including fuel rails and hp lines. not to mention the tank flush and clean.
if ur hate is tru and strong use glycol everlong

I have to agree with Don.. And if you use a Brake or Clutch top up bottle per can it will give the same havock.. Cheers JR

Awsome... I agree, the worst part would be waiting for someone to steal shit.
