check the locking ring on the pump that controls the reverse gate . It may be lose and not recognizing the nuetral position _________________ You are not lost if you Don't care where you are |

Bypass your neutral safety switch;in a prop boat there are obvious hazards to starting in gear;with a jet boat you often may want to keep some throttle on especially if you are shutting off momentarily after going over a gravel bar.
Plus 1 less electrical thing to go wrong |

ya alex i agree...althou the sticky spot should be fixed ive found myself in a few places were the second it takes to do neutral then start up has left me were i didnt want to be bypassing the nuetral switch makes it way better. i guess it depends on the type of boating one is into thou _________________ THE WORSE THE DRIVE.....THE BETTER THE RIDE |

If you look behind your remote control there is two wires coming off the back. They are usually yellow with a red stripe. They are connected to a micro switch that closes in the neutral detent. If you simply cut the wires and hook them together with a butt connector it will allow you to start where ever you want. A definate must in a jet boat. |
