				| If I read the results correctly, Jesse Foster's CX boat took 3rd over-all? CX boats are smoken.... | |

				| Some of it had to to do with home town advantage and Jesse's animal driving style but Miss B haven was running good. _________________

				| I don't want to rain on my own parade here but I think things have to be put in perspective. The boat and engine were working well and our times look fast, but I was driving very aggressively and was driving and flying/kiting the boat at it's limits to average an honest 92 mph up and 98 mph down. However, to put things in perspective, you need to compare this years times to our last years times where we were 102 mph up and 108 mph down +/-.
We're down 100 +/- hp from our last years B engine (CT525 525hp @ 5700 rpm vs B engine 625 hp @ 6200 rpm) which we figured would drop our speed by 10%+/-.

2009 Wapiti Gardens legs with the B engine
 21:02 min up
 20:03 min down,
total of 41:05 or 41.083 min.

2010 Wapiti Gardens legs with SEALED CT525 engine
 23:19 up
 22:22 down
total of 45:41 or 45.683 min.

So, 45.683/41.083 = 1.11, so we were 11% slower this year than last year which is pretty close to where we thought we would be.

We werent extra fast this year, many of the guys in the faster classes above us either had problems (3 of the 4 B boats broke) or were running detuned motors on pump gas in Unlimited class. The Weavers in A class had ignition problems and limped across the finish line on leg 1, didn't run leg 2 and ran their Cx boat on legs 3&4. Both Gord Humphreys and Whitey were running 9.5/1 compression detuned Unlimited pump gas motors.

A quick footnote, the Wapiti was at similar speed and levels this year as it was in 2009. Also averaging the up and down times would reduce most of the variance in river speeds.

				| Just wanted to pipe in how much we enjoyed the weekend. We had very tight racing, the circuit course was a blast. Kept my face shield clean by riding behind Alex's roost all weekend, the 30 mile drag race on leg 3 was great fun. 175 mi +/- and only 8 seconds apart, close racing for sure.
Met lot's of great people and had a ton of fun. Very well put on show, my hats off to all the people that made it come together. I'm just glad I no longer have to say "I miss racing" LOL ...
