I'm wondering just what besides fuel filters should I pack? My wife and I always run alone and need to be prepared as possible. I know you can't have parts for everything but if you folks running the Sportjet shared some of the "failures" you've had it would help me and others prepare. Thanks

Was out for a tour on the Wapiti tonight. Spportjet 1775 was running great. Then I throttled back for a corner and it stalled. thought it was out of fuel. threw in 5 gal, started up and it died at 2500 rpm. tried again, pushed it from idle to full throttle no problem. Will not run between 2500 and 4000 rpm. idle good WOT good.... HELP!!

there are little jets in your intake box that will plug up with gunk if you have lots of heat and moisture in the motor box.happened to me a few times.just get a can of compressed air for keyboard cleaning.pull off the intake cover and you can see them just above the main air inlets.spray the air in and they should clear out.

I had my steering fail this past weekend. The Micky Mouse ball stud came off and left me to mercy of the current . It would have been very bad had I been going at speed . I have a 240 with 260 hours on it. It just popped it back on to get back to camp but it was very loose and came off agin withno effort at all. I am not sure how long it has been worn out to the point of failing.

Check that ball stud!!!!!.

We repaired it buy drilling through the brass end and putting a 5/16 bolt through it with a nylock nut. Much safer now. I will do a better fix with a stainless bolt soon or maybe a Hiem end.
