got a question for you all, brought the boat home last week and did the service on it, took her out to the lake and went for a spin, starts great, idles fine, runs good,,,,but,, when i put the hammer down all i can get out of it is 3500 rpm? 351 w 650 4 barrel, s.d.309 in a 21 eagle e6,aa impellor, last summer we were pullin 4300 rpm all summer no problem, didnt do any thing different to the engine when i serviced it, new oil, new plugs. the 4 barrls dont seem to be opening up, but buddy was watchin when we were testing and says they are open????how is this possible?? and advice would be great,, thanxs!

Check your plug wires and timing. I had a crossed plug wire once and my boat would idle, start and run fine other than it was low on RPM (sounds the the same as yours).
