Guys, I wrote a letter to our MP and here was the response,
Thank you for writing to Chris with your concerns regarding leaded fuel for race applications.
In corresponding with our contact in Environment Canada he has offered the following information to us:
-There is a ban in effect since December 31, 2009 on leaded gasoline for competition vehicles.
-Our Government wants to make leaded gas available for certain limited activities like race vehicles.
-The regulations are late going in, but have been published in the Canada Gazette I, April 3, 2010. (I have attached a link for you to the website. Please scroll down to the April 3 edition and the pages pertaining to this issue are 33-52. http://canadagazette.gc.ca/index-eng.html You will note the proposed regulations have no end date so this process would not have to be gone through again at a future date.
-Environment Canadas Enforcement Branch will not proactively take enforcement measures under the Gasoline Regulations until a decision is made by the Governor-in-Council on the proposed amendment. This position is taken in order to respect the legislative intention of the federal government as expressed in the proposed amendment to the Gasoline Regulations.
I hope some of this information is helpful Felix. If you require further clarification or information please do not hesitate to contact us again. In the meantime, I will make sure that Chris is made aware of your specific concerns as he will want to know how this affects you and the Peace River Gold Cup Races. If Chris has any more definitive information to offer you, he will certainly be happy to do so. Thank you once again for bringing this to the attention of Chris.
Kind regards,
Trudy Edgar

VP100 (aka StreetBlaze 100)
Oxygenated with ethanol, this CARB-legal fuel is specifically engineered for high-performance street cars including sport compacts, muscle cars, street rods and more. It's environmentally friendly and street legal throughout the U.S. In applications with anything from 4- to 12-cyclinders or engines equipped with a turbocharger, supercharger or nitrous oxide system (NOS), VP100 will generate optimum power and performance. In turbocharged or supercharged applications, it allows an increase in boost without fear of detonation. NOS users can also leverage their higher octane ratings to step up to a more powerful nitrous oxide system. Dyno tests with a turbocharged application proved VP100 generates up to 14% more horsepower compared to premium grade 91 octane unleaded gasoline. Designed for use in cast-iron head engines with CRs up to 13:1 and aluminum head engines up to 14:1. Works well on the latest generation of electronically-controlled turbo engines. Contains no metal compounds and won't harm catalytic converters or oxygen sensors.

This 101 octane (R+M/2) fuel allows an increase in timing and more powerful nitrous oxide systems, with substantial power increases compared to premium pump gas. Designed for CRs up to 13:1 in cast-iron head engines and up to 14:1 with aluminum heads, MS101 is particularly effective in turbo- and supercharged applications. It contains no metal compounds and won't harm catalytic converters or oxygen sensors.

MOTORSPORT 103
MS103 provides power and protection equal to some leaded racing fuels. Compared to Motorsport 101, it allows even more aggressive timing and higher compression-up to 14:1 in cast iron head engines and up to 15:1 with aluminum heads. Can allow doubling of stock boost - consult your engine builder. Also contains no metal compounds and won't harm catalytic converters or oxygen sensors.
