Info from anyone in the Hinton area familiar with the where to drop the boat in on the Athabasca, or is there access at Brule Lake itself? if getting in at Brule how is the water up river and down towards town, fairly easy boating? slow? fast water?? which way for a relaxing day run? or is that possible in that area? I know it is early to tell water etc but which has been good in the past? What time of year has it been good running in the past? Question Running a 21ft 16degree bottom.

Lots of question not sure if there are answers.

thanx any info good info.

Boat launch on the north side of hinton and it is only about 20 mins up to brule....after brule there is a sign that states its Jasper national park.....not a very long trip. Stay to the right all the way through the lake if levels are low.....i've seen it 20 yards wide or 200 yards!!!

Had a real good trip this last September long weekend. Put in at Hinton, made our way up to Brule lake, then turned around and went dwn stream to Whitecourt. Stayed overnight on the river half way down. Lots of fun.
Had 7 boats in our group.

Thanks for the info greatly appreciated, How is the water toward Whitecourt fairly calm run? wife gets a little upset if things get to harry... If you happen to do this run again let me know in advance, if there are no objections my wife and I would like to tag along for the day.
