Please take note of the following costs for different types of racing fuel that can be obtained for the 2010 World Championships.

Prices are approximate, and are subject to change.

1.- Unleaded Premium Pump Gasoline 93 Octane: $0.80 per liter / $3.10 per Gallon
Available in most PEMEX gas stations all around Mexico.

2.- Aviation Fuel 100/130: $1.16 per liter / $4.5 per Gallon. Freight charges to transport this fuel to the race area will be posted later.

VP Racing Fuels:

3.- “Blue” 110 Octane: $550 per 54 gallon drum
4.- VP110: $565 per 54 gallon drum
5.- “Marine”, enviromentally friendly 105 Octane: $655 per 54 gallon drum
6.- C12: $715 per 54 gallon drum
7.- C16: $855 per 54 gallon drum

In the case of VP Fuel, there is a Freight Charge of $7100 for a complete trailer to move the drums (up to 100) from the warehouse at the US-Mexico border to the race area. This amount will be divided by the final number of drums requested. This will add an amount of between $71 to $200 per drum, but will depend on how many racers and how much of this type of fuel is requested.

All the competition and Aviation fuel must be ordered at least one month in advance.

A personal note: Getting race fuel is getting more and more complicated. New regulation was passed recently that forbids particulars to transport fuel in drums. We still have to confirm the extent of this, but it might be possible that you cannot bring your own fuel in your pick up trucks.

If you can prepare your engine to use pump fuel, I would strongly recommend that.
