I thought I read the 240sj pwr head to pump was 320lbs.
I am not sure on the SB with pump but I would guess it is double the sj at least _________________ If you ain't hittin bottom you ain't jetboatin! |

Pretty much all the rces I have been to the tech guys and safety guys have a hard enough time getting that job done alone. Trying to wiegh a boat before and after every leg (yes every leg) is a big task. Nice idea but it won't work in the real world. _________________ Mark

why every leg ? wouldn't the sporadic check work ? my thoughts on this were that if horsepower was to be restricted , as is the crate engine or whatever . that a minimum weight was needed so that a heavy crew could run a lightweight hull and be closer to equal that of light crew with a std. weight hull or add weight . will less weight help a badly set -up boat? no . will less weight help a well set-up boat ? not just in speed but also handling ,yes . _________________ Rick's Precision Machine

Even sporatic checks would be a problem and racers are quick minded people. If there is an advantage and the rules are grey a little, it will be ecploited.
Well it looks as thoughthe LS class is looked after and I am all for it. _________________ Mark
