Been out twice in my sport and both times wet up to my you know what in no time  . Hung up on the rocks and pushen boat is a very wet job  .
Whats the best solution fishing wadders, or do real men stay off the rocks high and dry.

Haha..real men get stuck all the time because they are always trying to go where no one should. Most of our rivers are cold and waders are a must or you can end up with hypothermia especially at this time of year. Wait till you have to go for swim under the boat to dislodge rocks in the intake so the boat can get back on step when it's snowing out...thats fun!

| Chest waders are nice and comfy and cozy and keep you dry, be carefull when you use them tho, if they fill up with water, you better be a really good swimmer or a rescue crew will be looking for you, it has happened on the Tuchodi, early 70's

Karey's right, chest waders are the best, but buy them extra large to the point that they'll virtually fall off if they aren't straped on, because if they get filled with water, you'll get dragged under and become fish food. Hip waders are the second best option, which also should be large enough to be easily kicked off. Quick release suspenders or straps of either should be the only thing holding them on your body, NO FRICTION FITTING.

| been there, done that. it's no fun in early oct. but at least the clothes are dry when you're done.not like the time a buddy fell off the bow trying to push us of a leaner.two hours from camp,plus 4c.
