just want to say hello to everyone, i have been lurking around on this site for years but only just joined up!!! well a little about me. im a kiwi and now base myself out of san diego when im not at sea working on a ship.

back in new zealand i have a hamilton jet 140s and love my narrow braided rivers!

so just a few questions, anyone know of any river boating near san diego?

what are the rules for jetboats in the us? im pretty sure the us coastgaurd have to check the boat is all up to a certain standard... am i right?

My plan is to get a hull of some sort and fit it out myself with a carbed ls2 or something similar,

any info you guys have would be great

Fellow Kiwi here. My name is Phil Taylor and I'm located much further north but still been around as far as boating. Would love to chat. I've done personal boating and racing both here and NZ. Sure would love to have a Hamilton jet boat over here. Have thought about trying one day to sell a few over here somehow. Have a jet boat repair and sales shop just an hour north of Sacramento.
