Just got off the phone with Hal and he has confirmed with the owner of Tar Island that all the cabins have been booked for overnight guests. The owner has stated that he has no problem if people want to bring their tents and spend the night. If the weather is nice there is a huge fire pit to have a night cap around and if the weather is not so nice we can always have the fire in the huge teepee. Remember, monday is a holiday. Hope to see you all there. |

I never heard about any hot tubs on the island but I did hear rumblings of a super soaker and a wet t shirt contest. Of coarse this will be rated PG or ran only after the supper crowd has to made their way home so people may want to bring tents. LOL. Of coarse we are always open to suggestions on things to do, perhaps the hotdog catching contest that the bikers play but with boats? Any ideas welcome, we have the week to get things ready. |

We would like to thank everyone that donated prizes for our poker run.
We would also like to thank everyone that attended, we had 22 boats and we sold 101 hands. First prize was $1090 won by Joan Setz.
Peace Island put on a great meal for all of us and then 26 people stayed over night on the island - tails were tall, stories were long and laughs were steady -thanks to all

Was a really good turn out with the looming weather that we all saw coming. But even with the rain a good time was had by all. It was really nice two see one couple come from such a long ways away to attend our rally, it was nice to meet you both. Even though as I told you, I would forget your names. It was still very nice of you to travel up to run with us. Come back next year, hopefully the weather will cooperate a little better.
As always the crew at the island did a stand up job and the overnight entertainment was to say the least, comical. |
