Hi all!!!!!!! After attending the races in Whitecourt, I thought how much i loved it!!! Ok, so here is my soapbox ad to promote Hay River and the World Races.

I was visiting home last Thanksgiving...the beach, the escalators and the falls...who wouldn't love this race!

You are right,,, it is nice up there. Once you get over the drive up there, the river is worth it.
BTW - Who's the gray headed guy. It kinda looks like Shawn!!! haha.

Hey Shar i'm with you on it.want to get a race in motion for next year so all the racers would know what to expect for the worlds and if they would like it as a leg for the worlds,let me know if your game!ive aready got garaging available for around 20-30 boats as well as the hotels giving discounted rates for the racers,that and ill have room for 5 or so holidays trailers at my place in delancey as well as a boat launch for testing at the back of my yard that all are welcome to use.would imagine we would want to shoot for the first weekend in july just so its a long weekend for racers to travel up here and back home.that and water levels are usually pretty good then.as you can tell shar i REALLY want to get the races going here again and willing to do what ever it takes to make it a reality.lol even got different race itineraries drawn up,talked to sonny mac in smith about trophies,got my chairmans message done,put the bug in the director of industry and tourism here in Hay which looks good cause he's a motor head to.I think i'll be able to drum up some vollenteers...alot of interested people,will talk to fisheries and oceans as well as the town after the fall meeting with all clubs to decide on race dates.lol need to give your family a kick in the rear and tell them to get involved as they played pretty big roles in it the last time around.Kings aren't to keen on it as in years past everyone was allways gung hoe to help out with the races but when it came down to crunch time it allways fell back to them which as you know is alot of work so if i can i wanna do this with as little grunt on them as possible just to sorta show them appreciation for what they have done for the sport allready.Anyways Shar let me know whatcha think and anyone else for that matter...till then take care.
