Hello

I have an older 16' Outlaw Lynx and am considering installing UHMW. I have removed the T1 steel skid plate to repair a dent and now is the time to do it. The only snag seems to be that there are lifting strakes down both sides of the hull. Just looking for some opinions wether it would be better to remove the strakes or to put the UHMW over top of them. Also if I remove them how will the handling characteristics of the boat change.

I am fairly new to this jetboating game and any info or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Tim Rolling Eyes

If you look at a factory boat with the uhmw you will see the see the keel pad that takes the place of the strakes;remove your strakes to install the uhmw ....when installing uhmw make sure your shop is very warm ....uhmw expands and if installed cold in the winter it will be wavy in summer heat ...
